FAQs

What parents ask us

How do you keep young people safe?
Safeguarding is our first priority. Ask us how our team and volunteers are checked and trained — we'll happily explain before your child takes part. Our safeguarding policy will be published on this site. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
Does it cost anything?
It depends on the programme and how it's funded — many sessions are delivered through schools and partner organisations. Ask us about the session you're interested in and we'll be upfront about any costs.
Who leads the sessions?
The SSG team and volunteers with experience in areas like tech, engineering, business and youth work.
What ages do you work with?
It varies by programme. Get in touch and we'll tell you what's suitable for your child.
Will my child's photo be used online?
Only with your permission. We never share young people's personal details, and you can say no to photos at any time.
Can I refer my child myself?
Yes — use the form below. Schools, youth workers and other professionals can also get in touch on a young person's behalf.

Just the basics for now — please don't include sensitive details. We'll follow up to talk things through.

Under 18? It's a good idea to ask a parent or carer to send this with you. Just tell us which programme interests you — please don't include personal or worrying details here. If you're worried about your safety or someone else's, use our report a concern page, or call 999 in an emergency.
