FAQs

Questions people ask

Do I need to be good at tech already?
Not at all. Our sessions are for complete beginners as well as people who already love tech. You'll learn by doing.
What will I actually do?
It depends on the session — you might build and code a robot, design something in 3D, plan a business idea or work with a mentor on your goals.
Who runs the sessions?
The SSG team and volunteers with real experience in areas like tech, engineering, business and youth work.
Can I come with a friend?
Ask us when you get in touch — we'll let you know what's possible for the session you're interested in.
I'm under 18 — what do I need to do?
We'll need a parent or carer to know you're taking part. Point them to our page for parents and carers.

Under 18? It's a good idea to ask a parent or carer to send this with you. Just tell us which programme interests you — please don't include personal or worrying details here. If you're worried about your safety or someone else's, use our report a concern page, or call 999 in an emergency.
